El regional del Este de Japón (B-bloque) se llevo acabo el 15 de Marzo del 2015, en el cual participaron 7 jugadores en las preliminares. De los cuales solo pasaron los 5 primeros lugares.

The regional East Japan Contest (B-block) was held on March 15 2015, in which seven players participated in the preliminaries. Of which only passed the first 5 places.

El HKYSC se llevo a cabo el 12 de Abril del 2015, siendo este el primer concurso avalado por la Federación Internacional de Yo-yo otorgándoles una siembre directa a  las semifinales en el WYYC para los ganadores de cada categoría.

En la categoría de 2A se tenia contemplado para la final a cuatro jugadores, pero solo terminaron participando tres de ellos.

The HKYSC took place on Sunday April 12, 2015, being the first contest endorsed by the International Federation of Yo-yo giving them seeding to the semifinals in the WYYC for the winners of each category.

El Hong Kong Yo-yo Selection Contest (HKYSC) es un concurso reconocido por la Internetional Yo-Yo Federation (IYYF) para la selección de jugadores de Hong Kong y Macao  que representaran a Hong Kong en el World Yo-Yo Contest (WYYC) del 2015.

El comité de HKYSC está formado por miembros seleccionados de dos las más grandes sociedades de yo-yo en Hong Kong: Hong Kong Yo-Yo Fan Club (HKYYFC) y Her We Yo! (HWY).

El evento se llevo a cabo el domingo 12 de Abril en el centro comunitario de Sin Tin Wai #29 en la calle de Sha Tin Tau en el nuevo territorio de Shantin, Hong Kong.

Este evento es creado con la finalidad de ganar una siembra (seed) y entrar en el WYYC del 2015. Se busca al jugador mas hábil que pueda representar a toda la comunidad de HongKong en el WYYC. Es importante aclarar que años atrás  la Hong Kong Yo-Yo Selection Contest Committe esta o estaba clasificado como una entidad de clase 2, osea,  una entidad no legal por la IYYF.

Es este su primer concurso legal donde tendrán la oportunidad de tener un representante sembrado en la semifinal en el mundial de yo-yo 2015. Un gran logro para toda la comunidad de yo-yo en HongKong ya que ahora se consolidad su evento como un campeonato nacional con la siembra de uno de sus representantes.

Hong Kong Yo-Yo Selection Contest is the IYYF recognized contest for selecting yo-yo players from Hong Kong and Macau to represent Hong Kong in World Yo-yo Contest (WYYC).​

The committee of HKYSC is formed by selected board members of the two largest Hong Kong yo-yo societies: Hong Kong Yo-yo Fans Club (HKYYFC) and Here We Yo! (HWY).

The event took place on Sunday April 12 at the community center of Sin Tin Wai Road # 29 in Sha Tin Tau in the new territory of Shantin, Hong Kong.

This event is created in order to gain a seed and enter the WYYC 2015. It seeks the most skilful player who can represent the whole HongKong community in the WYYC.  It is important to clarify that years ago the Hong Kong Yo-Yo Contest Selection Committe is or was classified as an entity class 2, that is, a non-legal entity for IYYF.

Is this your first legal contest where they will have the opportunity to have a representative in the semifinal at the World Yo-Yo 2015. A great achievement for the whole community of yo-yo in HongKong and now consolidate your event as a national championship with the seeding of one of its representatives.

¿Cuánto tiempo practicas cada día? 

Mínimo 30 minutos, por lo general 1 hora o más cuando puedo. La mayoría del tiempo con música.

¿Qué yo-yo usas para tus freestyles de 2A? 

Yo use LPs en el EYYC del 2015. Probablemente voy a cambiar a los Raiders de Yomega para mis freestyles.

¿Qué piensas sobre la categoría 2A? 

Creo 2A es la división "noble". Es realmente difícil llegar a ser bueno en eso, pero también es muy gratificante cuando se llega a un punto en el que se te considere un "buen" jugador.

Lo que me encanta en 2A es el hecho de que incluso si tú tienes el mejor yo-yo en la mano, no te ayudará si tú no tienes las habilidades. Cada jugador tiene su par de yo-yos con una configuración diferente que de alguna manera hace que todo sea más personal, porque el yo-yo que puede hacer que te conviertas en campeón del mundo, no valdrá nada para otra persona.

En 2A nunca te aburres porque incluso si tú pasas una hora haciendo sólo loops, cada loop que hagas sera diferente. No puedes hacer eso en otro estilo de yoyoing, porque si lo haces, se hará rápidamente aburrido. Me encanta 2A porque es la esencia de yoyoing, un yo-yo que sube y baja.

¿Cuál es tu consejo para los principiantes de 2A? 

Concéntrate en tus loops, los wraps vendrán después. Encuentra un buen par de yo-yos que te guste, incluso si no juegas a la perfección, y sigue usándolos. Además, usa diferentes modelos para encontrar el que más te guste. No te preocupes si no progresas rápidamente, es normal en 2A.

Da una sugerencia para mejorar en trucos de 2A: 

Si usted está atascado en un truco, deje de hacerlo y haz otro truco. Vuelve al truco difícil al día siguiente. No te rindas, 2A es difícil, pero se siente muy bien cuando empiezas a hacer trucos actuales.

¿Qué deseas lograr en el futuro? 

Ganar el EYYC del 2016. Y por qué no ir por el mundo y conseguir un buen lugar y ganar el WYYC en el futuro. Crear mi propia yo-yo de 2A o tener mi yo-yo signature. Y conseguir que más gente empiece a jugar 2A.

I used LPs at EYYC 2015, I will probably switch to Yomega raiders for my freestyles.

What do you think about 2A? 

I think 2A is the "noble" division. It's really hard to become good at it. But it's also very gratifying when you reach a point where you're considered a "good" player.

What I love in 2A is the fact that even if you have the best yoyo in your hand, it doesn't help you if you don't have the skills. 

Every players has his pair of yoyo with a different setting. In a way it makes it a lot more personnal because the yoyo that can make you become world champion are worthless to someone else.

In 2A you never get bored because even if you spend an hour doing just loops, every loop you do is different. You can't do that in another style of yoyoing because it will quickly become boring. I just love 2A because it's the essence of yoyoing, a yoyo that goes up and down.

What’s your advice for 2A beginners? 

Focus on your loops, wraps will come later. Find a good pair of yoyos that you like, even if they don’t play perfectly, and continue using them. Also, try different models to find which one you like best. Don’t worry if you don’t progress quickly, it’s normal in 2A.

Give a tip to improve for 2A tricks: If you are stuck on a trick, stop doing it and do another trick. Go back to the difficult trick the next day. Don’t give up, 2A is hard, but it feels really nice when you start doing actual tricks.

What do you wish to achieve in the future? Win the EYYC in 2016. Why not go to worlds and get a good place. And win WYYC in the future. Create my own 2A yoyo or have my signature yoyo. Get more people to start playing 2A.
